Please note that the recommendations in this article are the personal opinion of the author, The Other Straw kindly gifted us the products featured in this blog post.

Welcome to this part of our sustainable product series, where we show you our favourite products that have helped us reduce our waste and plastic use, and hopefully inspire you to try out some new products! This blog post focuses on items from the other straw, in particular, bamboo straws and toothbrushes. We were so lucky during lockdown to receive some products from The Other Straw, a company that produces products that are organic, handmade, biodegradable, 100% natural, durable, reusable, and sustainable! We received toothbrushes and straws - using these is a great way to easily reduce your plastic use, and help the planet. Let's get into the review!

First and foremost, these are so lovely! I love the straw especially, I am an iced coffee fiend and it is so useful! It is pleasant to drink out of, and works really well for (as well as copious amounts of iced coffee!) smoothies, juices, and getting in your daily water intake. The toothbrush is great, the detachable head is really helpful as it further limits the amount of waste when you need to throw one out, as well as saving you money! Bamboo itself is antibacterial, and also does not biodegrade quickly, so works really well for this product! The toothbrush was beautifully presented, it comes in 100% recyclable packaging and all the shipping was carbon neutral. Because it is made of 100% bamboo, it is vegan, and very affordable - it could make for a great late new years gift, to start 2021 off sustainably and positively! We hope that everyone is doing well in the new lockdown, it is hard on us all, and we all need the little gifts to ourselves to make it through. Thanks so much to all at The Other Straw for sending us these, they are amazing and definitely one to keep going back to!
